Accessibility

Kova is built for everyone flying standby, and that includes crewmembers who use assistive technology. We want every part of Kova — this website and the iOS app — to be usable with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnified text, and reduced motion.

Our standard

We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, on flykova.com, and we apply the same principles to the Kova iOS app using Apple’s accessibility technologies (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion).

What we do

• We audit flykova.com against WCAG 2.1 AA with automated tooling and manual review, and we re-audit as pages change.
• Color is never the only signal: flight outlooks in the app are conveyed by count and shape as well as color, and are labeled for VoiceOver.
• Animations respect the system Reduce Motion setting on both the website and the app.
• The website supports keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, and a skip-to-content link.
• Accessibility issues found in audits are tracked and fixed as part of normal engineering work, not a separate backlog.

Known limitations

We’re not done. Areas we are actively improving include: support for the largest Dynamic Type (text size) settings in the iOS app, richer VoiceOver descriptions for charts and trend graphics, and screen-reader flow in some newer screens. If something blocks you, we want to know and we will prioritize it.
